This tutorial was created by Shari's Design and is my own creation. Any resemblance to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
I am using the Great Freebie Scrap Kit "Red Wine" by SugarBritches Sassy Scraps and can be found Here.
I have used a 20/20 mask found on the web.
This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP, I used PSPX, but should work in most of the new versions
Supplies: Font and tube of choice (I used a misted tube from a share group, if this happens to be your artwork please
contact me so I can give you credit)
Outside Plugins:
Eyecandy3 ~ Fire
xeno/porcline
Lets Begin
Unzip scrap kit and place where you can access it easily
Open Paper #6
Add new raster layer
Click on text tool, find the font you want, size 30 and type out your saying
**Mine is You are the light**
type about 4 lines, and copy and paste in text box until the paper is covered
Add dropshadow, settings: V&H 2, Opacity: 40, Blur: 4, Color: black
Click on your eraser tool: 24, 50 10, 100, 100, 100
Erase anything that is on top of the border flowers
Now open Frame 4, resize 80%, copy and paste as a new layer
Move frame to the top left side. With your picker tool move the handle
so you have a slight slant (see sample)
Open Heart charm 2, copy and paste as a new layer under frame
Place as seen in sample
Click on eraser tool again and erase anything inside the frame
Click on your magic wand and click inside the left circle
Selections/modify/expand by 5
Open your tube, resize if needed, copy and paste as a new layer
adjust the part of your tube you want in the frame
Selections/invert/delete on your keyboard, deselect
Repeat selection on the right side of the frame
When finished, Mode/Luminance(L)
Effect/plugin/xeno/porcelain/default
Open stone and resize 65%, copy and paste, place at bottom (see sample)
Open candle 2, resize 65%, copy and paste on in front of stone
If you want to animate flames: Select/freehand, feather 0
select around each of the flames, holding down the shift key
Duplicate this layer 2 more times, 3 candle layers, deselect
Effects/plugin/eyecandy 3/fire with the following settings:
Click on Fire Color: User Defined with the following colors
ffffc0, fbe4cf
Speed is the only thing you will change for each candle layer, click the check after
each adjustment
original candle layer speed: 248
second layer speed: 205
third layer speed: 236
Now add whatever other elements you would like, add dropshadow with setting used
Add new layer, add watermark, copyright information
Add text
If you are NOT animating then merge/flat, save as jpeg..
ANIMATION
X out layer copy 2 & 3 of candle, highlight top layer
Edit/copy merge
Open Animation Shop (AS) Paste as new animation
Back to PSP, X out original candle layer
UN X copy 2, edit/copy merge, paste after current frame
Repeat above for last layer of candle
When you are satisfied, save as and you are finished
